This workshop will analyze the primary concepts, processes and technologies involved in putting together an institutional digital preservation plan that safeguards the digital collections contained in libraries, museums or repositories through technological mechanisms that help ensure their permanence and use over the long term.
Ana Yuri Ramírez Molina is the director of the Information Technology and Telecommunications Department at the National Library of Mexico. She has a Master’s in Computer Engineering and is currently studying for her doctorate in Library Science and Information Studies, both at the UNAM.
Lisandro Pablo Olivares has a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from the UNAM and a Master’s in Computer Science, with a focus on software engineering, from the Technical University of Munich. He currently works at the National Library of Mexico’s Innovation and Digital Strategy Department, where he specializes in digital preservation.
