The pieces presented herein propose a new social contract about the experience of mothering. It is nourished by historical and futuristic perspectives; visions of Amazonian, Andean and Tzotzil communities; as well as by feminist and queer approaches. Its itinerary includes the struggle of Italian feminists in the seventies and the demand of justice for the victims of violence in Mexico. Many pieces emphasize the need to break with the historic discrimination against artists who are mothers while others explore interspecies reproduction as a possibility in the context of the ongoing ecological crisis. They all envision maternity as a space that enables other political possibilities and ways of life.
