Amazonagrama n.3
Roberto Huarcaya
Amazongram No. 3
In 2014, the Wildlife Conservation Society invited various artists to develop work inspired by the Parque Nacional Bahuaja Sonene in Tambopata, Peru. Roberto Huarcaya, interested in experimenting with photographic processes, brought a roll of photosensitive paper into the jungle, measuring 1.08 by 30 m, and with the help of a small flash, he captured the surrounding environment.

The rain, humidity, moonlight, and lush vegetation all played a part in creating a map of light and shadow, one that treats chance and error as expressions of the power of nature.
