The work of Lorena Wolffer is known for exposing and condemning patriarchal structures. Be it through performance pieces or participatory actions, her work has addressed the many ways in which gender-based violence has been silenced. In doing so, she has also sought to give voice to various feminist struggles.
Evidencias delves into everyday expressions of domestic aggression. Through a public call, the artist collected different objects—all of which had been used as instruments of violence—from anonymous female donors. Each object is accompanied by the woman’s textual account of her own abuse.
