Andrea Fraser
L'1% ces't moi
Andrea Fraser’s works on institutional critique combine diverse schools of thought, primarily psychoanalysis, feminist studies, and Pierre Bourdieu’s perspectives on social fields, in order to create her own field of action. Conceptual and performative strategies constitute this intervention built on the premise that there is nothing outside of the institution, since it has been internalized by all of its actors, including the artist herself.
L’1%, c’est moi, Fraser’s first monographic exhibition in Mexico, collects key pieces in formats that include text, video, installation, and performance, encompassing over thirty years of work.
