Mladen Stilinovic
Over the course of his career, Mladen Stilinovic has become one of the main figures of conceptual art, not only in Croatia, but also on an international scale. He has developed a grammar anchored in the binomial of language and work that articulates his practice and suffuses his investigation into power and ideology as agents of pain.
His capacity to abstract the mechanisms that are intrinsic to power, regardless of its political and economic context, makes him a truly anarchic agent whose critical web runs from his everyday urban world and global political analysis to the critique of institutions and hegemonic currents in art.
