Tania Candiani. Like the Trace, Its Sound
Over the last ten years, Tania Candiani has woven together an intense network of codifications and material and discursive associations between art, literature, history, science, architecture, nature, music and sound. Her work makes use of an expanded notion of the idea of translation as a process and transdisciplinary tool for decoding information in a wide variety of narratives and materialities.

She advances methodologies for artistic explorations through which she seeks to trace and make visible new sensorial and conceptual systems that elevate the poetic experience of those who submerge themselves in these universes. The majority of Candiani’s projects emerge from specific contexts, work situated with and from the community as a form of collaboration and participation. The artist conceptualizes territory through its social, political and cultural connotations, but also as the development of a place that allows us to perceive the resonance and rhythms of the bodies, customs and times of those who dwell therein.
