Ursula Biemann. Becoming Earth
At a time of global biodiversity loss, the artistic practice of Ursula Biemann invites us to rethink the epistemic roots of our relationship with the Earth. Her work deploys a poetic approach involving testimonies, images and texts that understand nature as a living whole, while exploring climate change and the ecologies of oil, forests and water.

This publication reviews her investigations into the hydrosphere and its repercussions on the ecosystem, as well as her exploration of the Amazon rainforest as material evidence of dispossession and destruction. Her recent projects are centered on the politics of knowledge, bringing together a variety of epistemological currents that speak to the intelligence of nature and the relationship between all the living beings that dwell in these spaces.
