Fond Cooperativa Cráter Invertido
Since 2011, the Cooperativa Cráter Invertido has been made up of graduates from the National School of Visual Arts (UNAM) and the School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking “La Esmeralda” (INBA). Although its practice covers artistic production, experimental pedagogical spaces and a critical reading of diverse social realities, the archive contains only the published output, made with a risograph machine. Through its own imprint, Cráneo Invertido, the publishing practice allows its members to “visualize, materialize and share the collaborative work and its contents.”
Fond Colección XIX Olimpiada Cultural México 1968
The 19th Olympic Games were held in Mexico from October 12 to 27, 1968 and included, for the first time, a parallel cultural program. The organizing committee of the Cultural Olympiad, headed by Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, developed a program that included exhibitions of art and science. However, the 19th Olympic Games were marked by the student movement, a watershed moment in the history of the country. The collection is the result of the extensive publishing output undertaken at the time, and reflects the contribution of the Olympic Games to visual culture. It contains bulletins, Olympic cards, graphic summaries, brochures, guides, regulations, posters, exhibition catalogs, music, theater and dance programs and an example of the official uniform of the hostesses during the Olympic Games.
Fond Casper
Casper was a monthly publication by Damián Ortega, Daniel Guzmán, Gabriel Kuri and Luis Felipe Ortega, members of the Temístocles 44 space. Printed using photocopies, it was distributed among friends and people from the art world, or by subscription via postal mail. Its name derives from an anagram that changed in each of the 12 issues published between 1998 and 1999. It included texts on conceptual art, installations, interviews with artists and screenprints on the cover or posters and decals made by artists active in Mexico at the end of the nineties. The project included the design of t-shirts with the cover of each issue. The archive comprises the 12 issues.
