El reino de Coloso
The exhibition El reino de Coloso. El lugar del asedio en la época de la imagen, curated by José Luis Barrios (1961, Mexico).
It explores the connection between what images show and what escapes from them regarding to violence facts, taking into account that reality of events, like war and terrorism, exceed the visual representation of those.
Through techniques that belong to modernity -photography, film and digital technologies- the show, conceived as a cinematographic montage, reveals the way society build –from such
images- the “imaginary of terror”, same that stands as a form of social control through fear.
