Juan Carlos Uviedo
Provoked by Juan Carlos Uviedo
This was the formula to which the Argentine Uviedo resorted in order to convey his active place as instigator and participant in the “sociotheatrical acts” that he set in motion in different parts of the world during the 1960s and 1970s.

In Mexico City—before being expelled from the country in March 1973—he formed the Ergónico group, which included Olivier Debroise, Sarah and Yago Minter, Héctor de Anda, Athenea Baker, Zaniah Guvan, Mario Ficachi, Alejandra Zea, Nelson Oxman, Jacques Riviere, Julia Marichal, and many others. Now for the first time, his forgotten legacy has been brought together in the form of a nascent archive, made up of discontinuous traces from the errant life of a great provocateur.
