Rogelio Sosa. Interior II
This piece reveals Rogelio Sosa’s interest in collaborative work and in visitor experiences that originate entirely in the ear. As such, with the aim of fostering acoustic immersion, all visual elements in the interior of the space have been covered, transforming it temporarily into a black box.
Interior II extends the thinking set out in the installation Interior, shown in the Museum of Modern Art, Mexico City, in 2009. In the piece, the voice – which has been electronically altered – is the principal element and derives from recordings undertaken by a group of people invited to express, without restrictions on either time or content, their sensations regarding the current state of the country.
