Call for submissions Sala10
The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, through the Dirección General de Artes Visuales and the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo, issues a call for submissions for domestic and international artists to participate in an open video art contest for the programming of #Sala10, a virtual exhibition project by MUAC.
#Sala10 is a virtual exhibition space that offers a program of contemporary video art pieces on MUAC website. Its name refers to a virtual space for the circulation of art, alongside the museum’s nine physical galleries.
#Sala10 is taking a new direction, calling on artists to submit projects for its programming. This new format seeks to develop reflections on the ongoing mutations of video art production in order to trace practices that take up a critical and creative position regarding the expressive and enunciative possibilities of this medium in a context in which visuality is determined by the content generated and disseminated on digital platforms.
The competition will be open from October 21 to January 05, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
The winners will be announced on February 24, 2025.
