CONDITIONS OF USE (TERMS AND CONDITIONS)

Reading the terms and conditions is recommended before visiting and/or exploring our content. The use of content confirms that the user has read and, therefore, explicitly accepts the terms and conditions. If the user does not accept them, it is recommended that they abstain from using our content.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE CONDITIONS OF USE

It is prohibited for the user to make any use of the content beyond those permitted in the conditions of use. As all the content rights correspond to the MUAC and/or the proprietors, failure to follow this norm on the part of the user will constitute unauthorized use and can be subject to legal sanctions.

AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR USERS

While the MUAC exhibits content that can be viewed by those age 14 and above, and is directed at the general public, users below the age of 14 require the supervision and approval of their parents or tutors.

Consequently, it is the responsibility of the user (parents or tutors) when minors below the age of 14 and/or any person who, in accordance with the law, should not view the images present in our content.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Our content is not for profit. It was created for purposes of research, artistic critique and education. 

For no reason may users make copies of concerts; films; podcasts; exhibitions; inaugurations; publicity campaigns; cultural, sporting or professional events; theatrical representations; programs; or other digitally delivered, reproduced or retransmitted content, nor engage in any other activities considered to be criminal. Users cannot, whether directly or through external devices, software, Internet sites, web-based services or other media, remove, alter, avoid or interfere with copyright notices, watermarks or other types of property notices inserted into the content, or mechanisms or devices for administering digital rights or other content protections and content access control measures, including geographic filtration mechanisms; nor copy, download (except through the cache of the website needed for personal use when thus permitted, or when expressly permitted in the Conditions of Use), modify, distribute, transmit, show, effectuate, reproduce, exhibit, duplicate, publish, license, create or distribute derivative works or materials that originate in or are in any way based on the content, including montages, information, compilations of images, music, similar videos, merchandise or offer our content for sale.

Users cannot incorporate the content, nor stream or retransmit it, via hardware or software applications, nor make it available through framings or online links. Nor can they create, recreate, distribute or advertise an index of a substantial part of the content, nor create a business using the content, whether for profit or no. The content to which these restrictions apply includes but is not limited to texts, graphs, configurations, interfaces, images, logos, photographs, audio and video materials and phonograms.

Users may not modify, improve, remove, interfere with or otherwise alter any parts of the videos, images, sounds, underlying technology, software, digital rights administration mechanisms and devices or other content protections or access control measures incorporated into the content. This restriction includes but is not limited to disabling, reverse engineering, incorporating, modifying, interfering with or otherwise avoiding mechanisms in any way that allows users to view the content without showing all of its elements (including but not limited to the graphic user influence, any advertisements, copyright notices and watermarks) or having full access to all the content if it has been restricted in any fashion to registered users.

All the material contained here, including but not limited to images, videos, photographs, logos, watermarks, artistic works, audio files, designs, etc., is protected by domestic and international copyright and industrial property laws and is property of the MUSEO UNIVERSITARIO ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO (MUAC) and/or the respective rightsholders and administered herein by the MUAC, and the user must therefore not reproduce it, copy it, retransmit it, modify it or in any way use it for commercial purposes.

Its copying, reproduction, distribution, translation, adaptation, modification, publication or retransmission, in whole or in part, by any means or form, or any other use not authorized by the respective rightsholders, is strictly prohibited.

MUAC is a registered trademark before the Mexican Industrial Property Institute (IMPI) and must therefore not be used, altered, modified or otherwise unduly reproduced without the prior written permission of its rightsholder.

Access and/or use of our content by users shall in no way be considered to constitute a usage license or other rights, as the ownership and administration of the intellectual property rights correspond to the MUAC and/or the rightsholders.

The use of the works contained herein was authorized by the rightsholders or uploaded to the website in good faith, having exhausted all available resources to request the permission of the rightsholders, creators or heirs. In the event of alleged infractions or violations of intellectual property rights, MUAC will follow the stipulations of Article 114 Octies of the  Mexican Federal Copyright Law and other applicable articles so as to protect the intellectual property of our content. NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY

Any form of mistreatment and/or violence is strictly prohibited on our website, including but not limited to discrimination based on culture; disability; gender; age; social, economic or health condition; religion; opinions; ethnic origin; or sexual preference.

We promote an atmosphere of respect and equality in a humanitarian atmosphere of open communication, free of discrimination and other forms of intolerance and violence; users must respect the Ethics Code of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

MODIFICATION AND TERMINATION

The MUAC reserves the right to make changes and/or modifications to the conditions of use, as well as in its content, information, services, etc., at any time and without prior notice to the user, without this being motive for a demand or monetary compensation. It is therefore recommended that the user consult the terms and conditions each time they visit our content. The fact that a user has not read or otherwise learned of the current content of the terms and conditions does not exempt them from following all the stipulations for the use of our content.

JURISDICTION

In the event of any controversy between the MUAC and the user, both parties expressly and irrevocably agree to submit to the federal and local laws on this issue and the jurisdiction of the Mexico City court system, the user renouncing any other jurisdiction that could correspond to them due to their present or future address.
